Iran's Declared Retaliation Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday morning. That US-Israeli operation - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck locations linked to the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump calling on the Iranian people to rise up against the government. Wider Impacts In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran. The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles". "Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a series of missiles," it added. The statement noted debris fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian. The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
