Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion – Premier League Live Coverage

Match Preview

Manchester United, coming off victories against Liverpool and Sunderland, aim for three Premier League wins straight tonight. Confidence is high under Ruben Amorim now more than ever!

Yet, Brighton are the Seagulls, who have won in their previous three visits at the Theatre of Dreams, and six of the last seven encounters between the clubs.

Despite United’s form; it’s been straightforward very comfortable. That said, the visitors are also famously erratic as their hosts, making this match both fascinating and potentially highly entertaining.

Selection Changes

Manchester United make a couple of alterations in the wake of last week’s victory at Anfield last weekend. Šeško is selected instead of Mount, relegated to the bench, and the match-winner Harry Maguire doesn’t feature entirely, Leny Yoro taking his place at the back.

An issue arose this week in practice. Malacia makes the squad in a Premier League squad in 2025-26.

The Seagulls opted for one change post-success against against the Magpies. It’s ostensibly a defensive one, bringing in Maxim De Cuyper for Diego Gómez, who drops to the bench.

Welbeck, formerly of United that lifted the title back in 2013, returns to Old Trafford on a hot streak scoring four in three, one more than he’d managed from 15 prior games.

Pre-Match Patter

The manager pays little heed about the views of Liverpool’s boss … but Danny Welbeck is highly concerned about the considerations of Thomas Tuchel.

Analysts have noted that this match could have implications for both teams’ seasons during the league unfolds.

Star performers include Fernandes from the hosts plus Welbeck from the away side, both in fine form in recent weeks.
